Finding Space

Finding Space is the practice of Christopher, a teacher rooted in Lyon. He was born in France and spent much of his life between France, England and Massachusetts, and he calls Lyon his refuge and place of anchoring. He earned a Master's in computer science and engineering in England, but after two years in tech he knew it was not his path.

The turn came in 2012. After the loss of his mother and a deep inner upheaval, he travelled in South America for a year and a half, a journey of exploration and stripping back. Martial arts, meditation and yoga entered his life there. The practices then travelled with him to California, Portugal and Asia, and in 2019 he returned to Lyon to put down roots.

His path through the breath is documented step by step. Hatha yoga and Kundalini began in 2016, with Hridaya Yoga training in Thailand. Pranayama teacher training followed in 2018 with Swara Yoga Academy in Portugal. In 2019 he found SOMA Breath, which he describes as opening a whole new dimension, and he began working with Rebirthing Breathwork, completing a 120-hour facilitator training with Freedom Breathwork in 2024. A holistic nutrition diploma, earned in 2021 after three years of study, completes the picture.

The work is mostly guided breathwork sessions online, for beginners and advanced practitioners alike. In Lyon he offers in-person Rebirthing sessions, workshops, Swara Vinyasa, yoga classes in studio and retreats. He also leads meditation trainings in Lyon and Le Grand Bornand, teaching four neuromeditation styles: Focus, Mindfulness, Open Heart and Calm Mind. With his partner Roxane, a massage therapist with more than fifteen years of experience in Chi Nei Tsang and Abhyanga, he offers nutrition consultations and joint workshops and retreats.
